Rocky Mount, NC - The Battling Bishop's women's tennis program defeated Pfeiffer 8-1 in the conference opener, thanks to an outstanding start in doubles and great singles wins all across the board.

Sweeping doubles action, Cristina Mendoza Romero and Elisa Mariotti got off to a hot spot at the #1 slot winning 8-3 and Ajla Selimovic and Ivanna Torres looked outstanding at the #3 slot, winning 8-2.

In singles, Elisa Mariotti looked sharp with a 6-3, 6-1 victory and Bethan Fothergill looked outstanding the entire match at the #4 position, winning 6-4, 7-5.
