North Carolina Wesleyan Athletics Hall of Fame
Selection Criteria
PURPOSE:
To honor those individuals who have demonstrated exceptional athletic talent and
strength of character in representing North Carolina Wesleyan University in various areas
of athletics.
NOMINATION & SELECTION CRITERIA:
Every inductee MUST:
1. Be a former N.C. Wesleyan student-athlete, coach, administrator, or other
supporting friend of Bishop athletics.
2. Have participated in N.C. Wesleyan athletics for at least two seasons; have
coached or served NCWU athletics at least five years.
3. Have completed his/her athletic participation at least ten years prior to
induction (student-athlete); exceptions apply if nominee is deceased.
4. Have demonstrated outstanding performance as a student-athlete; coaches
and/or administrators should have provided outstanding service to the athletics
program.
5. Be of good character and reflect credit upon the University.
* Nominees need not be graduates of the University.
NOMINATION PROCESS:
1. A nomination may be submitted by anyone able to support it.
2. There are no limits on the number of nominations accepted each year.
3. Nominations will be filed and carried over to subsequent years.
4. If nominee is unable to attend the induction ceremony, his/her name will be
carried over to the next year. In such cases, the committee may choose an
alternate selection.
