Fayetteville, N.C. - The NC Wesleyan men's tennis team delivered a dominant performance in USA South Conference play on March 25, sweeping Methodist University 7-0 at the Gene Clayton Tennis Center.
The Bishops set the tone early by sweeping all three doubles matches to secure the doubles point. Adam Singleton and Diego Villafane led the way at No. 1 doubles with a 7-5 victory, while Albert Sitwell and Farhaan Patrawala followed with a 6-4 win at No. 2. Brody Brice and Ben Russell capped off doubles play with a commanding 6-0 decision at No. 3.
NC Wesleyan carried that momentum into singles action, winning all six matches in straight or three-set fashion. Adam Singleton dominated at No. 1 singles with a 6-1, 6-1 victory, and Albert Sitwell battled back from a first-set loss to win in three sets at No. 2. Ben Russell secured a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 3, while Farhaan Patrawala followed with a 6-4, 6-1 victory at No. 4.
Martin Cardestig added another strong performance at No. 5 with a 6-2, 6-1 win, and Indrek Raudkivi closed out the sweep with a 6-3, 6-1 victory at No. 6.
With the win, NC Wesleyan showcased its depth and control across the lineup, earning a statement conference victory and continuing to build momentum in USA South play.
