Tonia Grimsley is in her fourth season at the helm of the Battling Bishop's cheer program Since the summer of 2018, Grimsley has been the All-Star Cheer Director at Hunter's Competitive Cheer. From 2014-2016, Tonia was the head Cheer Coach at Southwest Edgecombe and led the team to a national championship.

Tonia was also the Cheer Coach at the East Carolina Cheer and Tumbling School in Greenville where she helped lead multiple teams to national championships and coached athletes from ages 4-15.

For three straight years, she led the spirit program to a third place finish in the gameday division at NCA Nationals in Daytona, Florida. 

Tonia graduated from ECU in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science. She plans on receiving her Master of Business Administration from UNC-Pembroke in May of 2022 as well.
