Kennedy Tauala Jr “sawc”, All NBA 2K League First-Team and NBA 2K League award-winning player, enters his first season as an Assistant NBA 2K Coach with the Battling Bishops.
In the 2024 Season, HCG finished No. 1 in the Eastern Conference. As one of the high-powered offenses, HCG was No. 1 in points per game, No. 2 in 3PT percentage, No. 3 in assists per game, and No. 5 in FG percentage. Sawc made ALL NBA 2K League 1st Team and was a MVP Finalist. He was crowned as the “Most Improved Player.” He had also earned the “Sportsmanship” award for the third year. Sawc has been the captain of Heat Check Gaming (HCG) for 4 seasons. He has played every position in both game modes, 3v3 and 5v5.
In the 2023 Season, HCG finished as a top 10 offense. Sawc earned the “Sportsmanship” award for the second year and in 2022, HCG drafted sawc in the first round with the 16th pick. HCG earned their first playoff berth since the 2018 Season. He earned the “Sportsmanship” award for the first time.
In 2021, Gen G drafted sawc with the 47th pick. Drafted as a sixth man, sawc became a starter mid-season at the Center position and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology in 2018 from Arizona State University. He prepped at Serra (Calif.) and Narbonne (Calif.) High School.
