Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Bastien Dechamps Has Hat Trick, Wesleyan Crushes Brevard 6-0

Rocky Mount, NC - In dominant fashion, the N.C. Wesleyan soccer program blew out Brevard by a score of 6-0 on Sunday. The Bishops were led by Bastien DeChamps who had his first hat trick of the season, scoring the first, third, and fourth goal of the game. In every category, Wesleyan outclassed Brevard having the advantage in shots by a whopping 14-3 margin, with a season high eight corner kicks. In the 80th minute, Evan Vicenti would score a SportsCenter top ten goal from outside of the box to give Wesleyan a six goal advantage and cap off a perfect afternoon.

Game Notes:
  • With Saturday's win, the Battling Bishops are in the drivers seat in the USA South regular season with a perfect 4-0 start in conference play.
  • The Wesleyan defense would have its best outing of the season, only allowing Brevard to take one shot on goal which was saved by Rafael Farina.

Up Next:

On Tuesday night, the Battling Bishops look to stay perfect in conference action as they hit the road to take on Methodist for a 7 pm kickoff.
