Rocky Mount, NC - For the first time in nearly two and a half years years, the women's basketball program surpassed the 100 point plateau, defeating William Peace 101-67. It is the most amount of points scored by the Bishops since the matchup against Greensboro College on March 3rd 2021 in the conference tournament.
Kayrisma Harrison brought the thunder in the paint for Wesleyan, scoring a draw dropping 24 points while bringing down 16 rebounds. Harrison recorded a double-double at the seven minute mark in the third quarter and also contributed three steals. Rebounding would be a key theme to the ballgame, with the Wesleyan controlling the boards by a 35 plus advantage over the Pacers.

Anaya Hall also racked up her first double-double in her college career, as the true freshman from Fayettville, NC had 14 points, 13 rebounds, and an assist. On the night, the Battling Bishops also saw magnificent performances from
Areina Harris and
Corynthian Williams who each crushed the stat sheet with eighteen points each and combined for three steals.
On the defensive front, the Pacers were held to only 30% shooting from the floor and a minuscule 4-23 from behind the arc. Wesleyan would go on to force thirteen turnovers off of ten steals. The bench also came up clutch, combining for 29 points and contributin to the tremendous shooting effort, with Wesleyan going 39-78 from the field, exactly 50%.
