Fredericksburg, VA - The N.C. Wesleyan women's basketball team fell on the road to Mary Washington on Saturday 56-40.
Nadia Simmons led the Battling Bishops in scoring with nine points and also had a solid four rebounds and assists.

Wesleyan would have great performances from the reliable faces
Corynthian Williams, and
Areina Harris who combined for fourteen points, and five rebounds. The Battling Bishops got off to a scorching start behind the arc in the first quarter shooting over 42% from three.Â
The defense was outstanding for the Bishops as well, forcing 23 Eagle turnovers and coming up with ten steals. Wesleyan would turn the MWU turnovers into eighteen points off turnovers to keep the game competitive.
