Rocky Mount, NC - The N.C. Wesleyan volleyball team looked outstanding in its 3-0 victory over the Squirrels of Mary Baldwin. From start to finish, the Lady Bishops controlled the game and did not allow MBU to score over 20 points in either of the three sets. On the stat sheet, the Battling Bishops crushed the Squirrels with a 39-21 advantage in kills, and a 40-32 margin in digs. The big victory also marks Wesleyan's first in conference play.
Game Notes:
- Sloan Martin would have a team high with nine outstanding kills with thirteen attacks. She would even come up with two aces while serving and nine digs.
- Desiree Walker would shine on the court for the Battling Bishops with a total of fifteen attacks and three digs on the evening.
- Grace Bestler would get in on the party having eight kills, and three digs to crush the MBU defense.
