Rocky Mount, NC - In a hard-fought battle, the N.C. Wesleyan women's soccer program faced a tough 4-2 defeat against the Meredith Avenging Angels in a USA South matchup. Meredith capitalized early, with two quick strikes just a minute apart, scoring in the 17th and 18th minutes to take an early lead and never looked back.

Despite the early deficit, the Bishops showed resilience. At the 36-minute mark, Eden Whiteside put Wesleyan on the board, netting her sixth goal of the season with an assist from Samantha Dell, trimming Meredith's lead to 2-1 going into halftime.
Meredith, however, responded with two more goals coming out of the break, further extending their lead. The Bishops continued to fight back, and in the 57th minute, Samantha Dell capped off an impressive individual performance, scoring a goal to complement her earlier assist.
The match was evenly contested, with both teams registering ten total shots. Wesleyan had a strong showing offensively, placing seven of their ten shots on target. However, the Avenging Angels managed to hold on for the 4-2 victory.
