Wesleyan men's soccer team saw its historic season come to a heartbreaking end on Tuesday evening, falling 2-1 in overtime to the Pacers of William Peace in the USA South Tournament Semifinals. The loss capped off a remarkable campaign in which the Bishops remained undefeated in regular season conference play.

William Peace opened the scoring in the 32nd minute when Danny Romanchok found the back of the net for his second goal of the season, assisted by Auscar Omwenga. Despite being down early, the Bishops continued to push forward, creating numerous chances and keeping the Pacers on their toes with several shots on goal.
The relentless pressure paid off in the 67th minute when Bastien DeChamps delivered the equalizer, scoring his fourth goal of the year with the assist coming from Tobie Smith.
