Women's Basketball's Season Ends in USA South Finals

Buena Vista, VA - The N.C. Wesleyan women's basketball team competed on Saturday in the USA South Conference Finals for the second consecutive season and faced off with Southern Virginia. From the opening tip-off, SVU came out of the gate on fire, scoring the first ten points of the game. Going into the second quarter, the Knights would hold a double-digit lead of eleven. The Battling Bishops were led in the first half by Senior guard Nadia Simmons and Junior forward Corynthian Williams, each with four points, who provided a spark in the rough start. Wesleyan went into the locker room down nearly twenty and looked to make a statement with a second half comeback.
