Match Recap: Men's Tennis |

Men's Tennis Picks Up Two Victories over Barton and Birmingham-Southern

Rocky Mount, NC - The N.C. Wesleyan men's tennis program had a long day of four matches on Sunday afternoon. The morning got started with a match-up the entire country was waiting for as the #26 Battling Bishops squared off with #15 Johns Hopkins. Out the shoot, Wesleyan would win two out of three doubles, with Albert Sitwell and Diego Segovia cruising to a 8-2 win at the #1 slot.

John Falke paired up with Logan Stoltz to kick off his incredible day, winning four matches, as he looked extremely sharp, dominating at the #1 singles position, winning 6-4, 3-6, 6-3. Diego Segovia also would come out victories at #2 singles for the Battling Bishops, but Wesleyan would fall just short at a 5-4 defeat to the Bluejays in an exhilarating match.

Against Birmingham-Southern, Wesleyan would dominate from start to finish, with the only defeat coming by way of retirement. Bhodan Zhylchuk and Albert Sitwell were both sharp, winning 6-1, 6-1 at the #3 and #5 slots.

Outdoors, the Bishops would split a pair with Barton, ending the day with a 2-2 record. Wesleyan will travel to Hilton Head, SC at the end of next week and compete in the program's annual spring break trip.
