Game 1:

The Lady Bishops started off hot on Sunday afternoon as they were able to score two runs in the first inning of the game. The offense came to life early with Wesleyan getting on the board by way of a score by
Lillie Baumbach and T
aylor Kelly. A single by
Molly Alejandrino and a double by
Savannah Thompson led to these runs for Wesleyan out the shoot.

Hanging on to a 4-2 lead in the top of the 7th thanks to an incredible start from
Emily Humphrey, the Marlins would score two in the top of the frame to send the game to extras. Humphrey would toss a total of eight innings and only allowed one earned run in a gritty performance on the bump. Singles by
Lillie Baumbach and
Molly Alejandrino would tie the game once more in the bottom of the eighth as Wesleyan punched back and responded to a 2-run top of the frame from VWU.

Freshman Frances Hnshew would unfortunately be the only Bishop run in the 9th as Wesleyan suffered its first loss of the early campaign.

Game 2:

The Lady Bishops' gritty performance from the first game of the day would unfortunately not carry out in the second part of the doubleheader, falling 8-0 in the second game of the twin bill.

Virginia Wesleyan would take the lead early lead and scored three runs in the first inning, while the Lady Bishops would be able to get two hits from
Skyler Walker and Svannah Thompson.
