Huntingdon, AL - The N.C. Wesleyan women's lacrosse team fell in its conference opener to Huntingdon on Saturday at Samford Stadium. Only trailing by one at the half, Wesleyan played a well-balanced game, which will be a huge confidence boost going forward.
In the first quarter,
Lailah Espinal got the action started with an unassisted goal at the 8:41 mark to light a fire into the Wesleyan sideline. Allowing two goals to end the first half,
Sarah Ingram capitalized within the first minute of the second half, to even the score at two goals a piece.

Scoring two of the game's final three goals, Lailah Espnal and
Sarah Ingram continued to dominate the Hawks' midfield, scoring with ease to get the Bishops within striking distance. While not able to pull off the second half come from behind victory, Wesleyan will carry the positive momentum into the rest of conference play.
