Fredericksburg, VA - The Battling Bishop's men's soccer program fell on the road in its season opener to nationally ranked Mary Washington by a score of 2-0. Carter Berg scored his first of two goals in the contest for the Eagles at the 9:51 mark to get Mary Washington out to a 1-0 lead. He would later convert for the final goal of the affair five minutes later, assisted by Jordy Santana.

Struggling to get much momentum, Wesleyan only attempted eight shots in the season opener, with those of those being on goal. Battling Bishop's goalkeeper Rafael Farina came up with eight big saves and held off ten shots on goal by the Eagles.
