Box Score Raleigh, NC - The N.C. Wesleyan women's soccer program fell in its season opener to Bob Jones in the annual NCWU/Meredith Classic. Mia Marks would be a difference maker for the Bruins, scoring both Bob Jones' goals, with the first coming in the 34th minute to put the Bruins out to a 1-0 lead. Punching back four minutes later, Makena Meyer would score Wesleyan's first goal of the 2024 campaign to even the score headed into half.

Remaining at a 1-1 draw for 38 minutes in the second half, Marks put the Bruins over the hump to score the final goal of the contest, as Bob Jones would go on to a 2-1 victory.
