Box Score Rocky Mount, NC – The N.C. Wesleyan football team faced a challenging matchup against Huntingdon in the USA South opener. Despite a strong start from the Hawks, the Bishops showcased determination and resilience throughout the game, ultimately finishing with a score of 49-28.

Huntingdon jumped ahead early with a 47-yard touchdown pass from Jake White to Troy Garner, followed by a three-yard score from Rayshawn Williams, both converted by Will Edwards for the PAT. In response, the Bishops found footing in the second quarter as 
Anthony Byrd broke free up the middle for a 38-yard touchdown run, capping a four-play, 66-yard drive. 
Braxtyn Green added the extra point, igniting a spark for the Wesleyan offense.
In the second half, Wesleyan would not go away, scoring multiple times on touchdown passes to fight back against Huntingdon's strong offense. The Bishops tightened the score at various points, but Huntingdon kept control, ultimately finishing the game at 49-28.
