Women's Soccer Edged in Tight Battle at Randolph

Lynchburg, VA - The N.C. Wesleyan women's soccer team fell in a closely contested road match on Wednesday night, as Randolph edged out a 3-2 victory. Despite a strong offensive effort, the Bishops couldn't overcome Randolph's early lead.

Madison Booker opened the scoring for the Wildcats in the 16th minute, giving Randolph an early 1-0 advantage. Wesleyan quickly responded, with Makena Meyer netting her first goal of the night in the 22nd minute to tie the game at 1-1.

Meyer struck again in the second half, scoring her second goal of the match and fourth of the season in the 70th minute, tying the game at 2-2.. While Randolph would go on to win with a heartbreaking 75th minute goal, Wesleyan competed for the full 90 minutes of action.
