Brevard, NC - North Carolina Wesleyan closed out its 2025 football season on the road Saturday afternoon, falling 45–6 at Brevard on Ives-Lemel Family Field. The Bishops finish the year at 4–6 overall and 2–5 in USA South play.
Brevard struck early and never slowed, putting together a pair of first-quarter scoring drives before erupting for seventeen more points in the second period to take a 31–0 lead into halftime. The Tornados added a 75-yard touchdown pass to open the third quarter and maintained control throughout, finishing the day with 485 yards of total offense.
Wesleyan's lone score came in the fourth quarter when freshman quarterback Braden Selvage engineered a 9-play, 93-yard drive capped by a 24-yard touchdown strike to Sean Cartwright with 12:19 to play.
Running back Nahjiir Seagraves was a bright spot for the Bishops, carrying 24 times for 116 yards while surpassing the 100-yard mark for the third time this season. Tyson Resper added seven receptions for 70 yards to lead the receiving corps.
Selvage finished 8-of-13 for 101 yards and a touchdown, while Javier Rice added 39 yards through the air.
Defensively, Mathias Winston posted a team-high twelve tackles. Dwayne Reid, Andrew Brown, and Savonte McKeithan—who added an interception—each contributed five or more stops.
Brevard was paced by quarterback Ethan Beamish, who threw for 320 yards and five touchdowns. The Tornados held a 36:10 to 23:50 advantage in time of possession and converted 6 of 11 third-down attempts.
