Rocky Mount, NC - A dominant second-half performance lifted the N.C. Wesleyan women's basketball team to a commanding 73-38 victory over Greensboro on Saturday, improving the Battling Bishops to 8-3 in USA South play.

After a competitive first half, Wesleyan took complete control in the third quarter, outscoring the Pride 21-6 before closing with a 20-5 fourth quarter. The Bishops locked down defensively, holding Greensboro to single digits in both quarters while forcing 21 turnovers in the game, leading to 27 points off takeaways.
Anaya Hall led the charge with a strong fifteen point performance, shooting 6-of-10 from the field while adding seven rebounds. Iyania Evans provided a well-rounded effort with twelve points and eight boards, going 6-of-12 from the floor. Joy Ezeh turned in her best outing of the season with nine points and seven rebounds, while Leila Copeland contributed eight points and seven boards.
NCWU dominated the glass, securing 60 rebounds compared to Greensboro's 24, as NCWU had an incredible 64 boards in the first meeting between the two programs. That advantage resulted in a remarkable 29 second-chance points for the Bishops. Offensively, Wesleyan capitalized inside, scoring 36 points in the paint while also showcasing depth with 30 bench points.
The third quarter proved to be the turning point, as NCWU shot 9-of-20 from the field in a blistering stretch. For the game, the Bishops finished at nearly 35% shooting while holding the Pride to just 30% (15-of-49). Greensboro struggled mightily in the second half, making just five total field goals and shooting a mere 14% in the third quarter.
