Rocky Mount, NC - On a special afternoon honoring the 1993-94 NCWU women's basketball team that captured both the regular season and conference tournament titles, the current Bishops delivered a performance worthy of the occasion, rolling past Salem 66-44 in a commanding victory.

Four Bishops scored in double figures, with Joy Ezeh leading the charge behind a season-high fourteen points and seven rebounds while knocking down six field goals. Iyania Evans was a force in the paint, recording a dominant double-double with ten points and twelve rebounds, including seven on the offensive glass.

Harmony Martin and Leila Copeland also reached double figures, with Martin adding five rebounds and three assists from the shooting guard spot. Copeland orchestrated the offense efficiently, dishing out four assists while grabbing three rebounds.

Wesleyan's dominance on the boards proved to be a major factor, as the Bishops outrebounded Salem 52-32, leading to crucial second-chance points. The defensive pressure was relentless, forcing seventeen Salem turnovers, including six steals by Dorinda Jordan, which helped generate 21 points off turnovers.

NCWU controlled the game from start to finish, never trailing and scoring all but ten of its points in the paint.
