Rocky Mount, NC - The No. 34-ranked North Carolina Wesleyan men's tennis team turned in one of its most complete performances of the season on Tuesday afternoon, earning a dominant 6-1 victory over No. 19 Mary Washington at the Slick Family Foundation Tennis Center.
The win moves the Battling Bishops to 10-12 on the season, while the Eagles fall to 14-9 overall.
Doubles Recap
The Bishops set the tone early by securing the doubles point with strong play at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions. Brody Brice and Logan Stoltz claimed a 6-4 win at No. 2 doubles, while the duo of Francesco Raparo and Bohdan Zhylchuk outlasted their opponents in a thrilling tiebreaker at No. 3, winning 7-6 (7-4). Despite a setback at No. 1 doubles, Wesleyan's efforts at the lower two spots gave the Bishops the early 1-0 advantage.

North Carolina Wesleyan carried that momentum into singles play, winning five of the six matchups to secure the overall team victory.
At No. 1 singles, Diego Segovia battled back after dropping the opening set to defeat Trevor Rein in three sets, 4-6, 6-3, 6-3. Luca Knese delivered another clutch three-set win at No. 2, rallying for a 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 (7-4) triumph over Brock Ladehoff.
Bohdan Zhylchuk continued his impressive form at No. 3 singles, bouncing back from a first-set loss to take down Evan Fisher 1-6, 6-0, 6-4. Albert Sitwell added another three-set victory at No. 4 with a 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 decision, while Shori Nishizoe capped off the singles success with a convincing 6-4, 6-0 win at the No. 6 spot.
The Eagles managed their lone singles point at No. 5, where Jack Riordan edged Tshepo Mosarwa in three sets.
