Rocky Mount, NC – North Carolina Wesleyan University is proud to announce its inaugural Women's Volleyball Invitational, a one-of-a-kind tournament set to launch on campus August 29–30, 2025. Designed to deliver a premier student-athlete experience in NCAA Division III, the event will bring teams from across the east coast to Rocky Mount for a weekend unlike any other.
This unique tournament was born from a vision and commitment to grow and develop the University's women's volleyball program.
"This is not just a tournament—it's a symbol of the foundation of success for our women's volleyball program," said N.C. Wesleyan Director of Athletics Aaron Denton. "We are delivering an experience that puts student-athletes first. From the competitive format to the hospitality and attention to detail, this event will set a new standard for what Division III events can be."
The tournament will offer prize money to the top three finishing universities, with the tournament champion receiving $3,000, the first runner-up earning $2,000, and the second runner-up taking home $1,000. In addition to top-tier competition, teams will enjoy luxury-level amenities throughout the event, including a culinary-hospitality tent, a curated spa experience for athletes, gift bags for all participants, and a banquet-style meal at the team hotel for all participants. The tournament will be broadcast live on the FloSports Network and admission to the public is free. The tournament is completely donor funded.
