NC Wesleyan dropped a 3-0 decision to Meredith in a USA South matchup tonight at Everett Gymnasium. Meredith improved to 7-4 overall and 1-0 in conference play, while Wesleyan fell to 6-5 and 0-1 USA South. Wesleyan started the first set trading points before eventually falling 25-14 with sets two and three with similar scores at 25-15 and 25-13. Wesleyan totaled 24 kills, 3 aces, 4 blocks and 47 digs.

Individual standouts for Wesleyan included Brooklynn Covic and Savannah Banks, who each recorded 6 kills, and Ashley Hinton, who added 5. Emilee Wilson ran the offense, notching 18 assists. In defense, Jadyn Smith posted 14 digs, Fiona Egan added 8 digs, and Covic chipped in with 7. On blocking, Lillian Rafferty had 2 blocks, while Fiona Egan and Banks each added one. The Battling Bishops return to the road Saturday for two games vs.Carolina University and fellow USA South foe Salem.
