Bishops Dominate Salem in 72–46 Conference Win

N.C. Wesleyan turned in a dominant performance on January 30, cruising to a 72–46 USA South Conference victory over Salem at Everett Gymnasium while controlling the game from start to finish. The Bishops set the tone early with an explosive first quarter, outscoring Salem 22–4 to build immediate separation, and followed with a strong second quarter to take a 41–16 lead into halftime. Wesleyan maintained control throughout the second half, responding to any Salem momentum with timely baskets and defensive stops. The Bishops forced 25 turnovers and converted them into 22 points, while also dominating on the glass with 51 rebounds and showcasing depth with 38 bench points, reflecting a complete team effort.

Offensively, N.C. Wesleyan received contributions across the lineup, led by Anaya Hall with 14 points and eight rebounds while adding four steals to fuel the Bishops' transition game. Dorinda Jordan added nine points, six rebounds, two blocks, and four steals, anchoring the interior and providing defensive energy. Des'Myah Croom chipped in eight points and three assists, while Ansley Griffin knocked down two three-pointers on her way to eight points off the bench. Shamaya Lynch and Kalaesia Lincoln each scored seven points, and multiple players contributed defensively as Wesleyan limited Salem to 24.6 percent shooting.
