After trailing 34–31 at halftime, Wesleyan erupted for 53 second-half points, shooting an outstanding 66.7 percent from the field after the break. The game featured eight ties and five lead changes, reflecting the heavyweight battle between two of the conference's top teams. The Bishops dominated inside with 46 points in the paint, shot 52.5 percent overall from the floor, and knocked down 18-of-23 free throws, including clutch conversions in the final minute to seal the victory.
