Wesleyan Faces Tough Test Against Piedmont

Rocky Mount, N.C. - The N.C. Wesleyan women's lacrosse team hosted Piedmont on March 21 in USA South action, falling 22-0 in Rocky Mount. The Battling Bishops faced a strong offensive performance from the Lions, who built an early lead and maintained control throughout the contest.

Piedmont opened the game with six goals in the first quarter and extended its advantage to 12-0 by halftime. The Lions continued their offensive surge in the second half, adding five goals in both the third and fourth quarters. Wesleyan was limited offensively, recording two shots in the game, including a late attempt from Eliana Butler that struck the post.

Defensively, the Bishops continued to battle throughout the matchup. Goalkeeper Elizabeth Daniels played all 60 minutes and recorded nine saves while facing heavy pressure.
