Wesleyan turned in a dominant performance at Bauer Field on Saturday, sweeping a doubleheader against Brevard with a 5-1 victory in game one and a commanding 10-3 win in game two. The Battling Bishops combined strong pitching with timely hitting across both games to secure the sweep.
In the opener, Wesleyan struck early when Maison Nance launched a solo home run in the first inning and continued to build the lead throughout the game. Nance added a triple later in the contest, while Banks Hartman drove in two runs and Jake Flowers contributed an RBI single. Hayes Hillier added a hit and scored a run as the Bishops totaled eight hits. On the mound, Colby Lewis delivered a strong outing, tossing seven innings and allowing just one run on five hits.
