Rocky Mount, N.C. - The NC Wesleyan men's tennis team delivered a dominant performance on April 11, sweeping Brevard College 7-0 at the Slick Family Foundation Tennis Center.
The Bishops set the tone early by sweeping all three doubles matches to secure the opening point. Largo Koch and Joey Govenlock led the way with a 6-1 victory at No. 1 doubles, while Alexander Kohlhaas and David Edjerholm followed with a 6-0 win at No. 2. Jon Molinar and Bernardo Rojas completed the doubles sweep with another 6-0 decision at No. 3.
NC Wesleyan carried that momentum into singles play, winning all six matches in straight sets. Joey Govenlock highlighted the day at No. 1 singles with a 7-6, 6-0 victory, while Largo Koch added a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 2. Alvaro Gomez secured a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 3, and Julian Valverde followed with a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 4.
Alexander Kohlhaas continued the sweep with a 6-2, 6-0 performance at No. 5, and Nout Den Braber closed out the match with a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 6.
With the win, NC Wesleyan showcased its depth and control across the lineup, sweeping every court to earn the 7-0 team victory and continue building momentum late in the season.
