Rocky Mount, N.C. - The NC Wesleyan women's tennis team faced a strong test on April 8, hosting North Carolina A&T at the Slick Family Foundation Tennis Center and falling 4-0.
The Aggies took control early by sweeping all three doubles matches to secure the doubles point. NC Wesleyan battled across the courts, but North Carolina A&T was able to gain momentum heading into singles play.
In singles action, the Bishops continued to compete against a talented lineup. Several matches were closely contested, including a strong effort at No. 4 singles where Ajla Selimovic pushed her match before it was left unfinished. However, North Carolina A&T secured victories on the top three courts to clinch the match.
Despite the final result, NC Wesleyan gained valuable experience against a strong opponent, continuing to challenge itself against high-level competition as the season progresses.
