NC Wesleyan Athletics Mourns the Passing of Don Stallings

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. – The North Carolina Wesleyan University Department of Athletics is saddened to learn of the passing of longtime university supporter, trustee, and community leader Don Stallings.

A beloved figure throughout Rocky Mount and beyond, Stallings leaves behind a lasting legacy of service, leadership, and generosity that helped shape countless organizations, including North Carolina Wesleyan University.

For many within the Wesleyan community, Stallings will be remembered not only for his unwavering support of the institution, but for his belief in investing in future generations. Through his service on the University's Board of Trustees and Executive Board, he played an important role in helping advance the mission of NC Wesleyan and strengthen opportunities for students both inside and outside the classroom.

His commitment to Battling Bishop Athletics is visible each time student-athletes take the field at Stallings Field. The facility has become a centerpiece of campus life and a symbol of the continued growth of NC Wesleyan Athletics. While the stadium stands as a physical reminder of his support, his impact extends far beyond bricks, turf, and infrastructure.
