Andrew Tubb rejoined the North Carolina Wesleyan baseball program as pitching coach in 2025 following a standout playing career and a successful transition into coaching.
Tubb returned to the Bishops' roster in 2024 after taking the 2023 season off, making an immediate impact on the mound. He went on to earn a spot on the NCAA Regional All-Tournament Team while helping lead the program to postseason success. Over his collegiate career, he made 40 appearances with a 3.67 ERA, 15 wins, and 148 strikeouts across 196.1 innings. His honors include USA South Rookie Pitcher of the Year (2018), Second Team All-Conference, and All-State Team recognition, along with serving as a team captain in 2021, 2022, and 2024.
After completing his playing career, Tubb spent the 2024–25 season as pitching coach at Calhoun Community College in Alabama, where he oversaw player development, recruiting, and in-game strategy for the pitching staff. He also previously served as a pitching instructor at the Florida Baseball Armory, working with athletes from high school to the professional ranks using advanced data and biomechanical analysis.
A native of Valrico, Florida, Tubb earned both a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and a master’s degree in strategic leadership from N.C. Wesleyan.
Head Coach Greg Clifton on Tubb: “Bringing Andrew back to our program is a tremendous addition for our players and staff. His knowledge of pitching, ability to connect with our guys, and understanding of what it means to be a Bishop make him the perfect fit to lead our pitching staff.”
