CJ DiBenedetto joins the N.C. Wesleyan baseball coaching staff for his first season as an assistant coach with the Battling Bishops. A former pitcher for NCWU, DiBenedetto returns to Rocky Mount to primarily work with the Bishops' pitching staff.

DiBenedetto spent two seasons as a player at N.C. Wesleyan, including the COVID-shortened 2020 campaign. In 2021, he emerged as a key arm for the Bishops, compiling a 5-3 record with a 3.91 ERA over 50.2 innings as a redshirt freshman. His contributions helped NCWU reach the NCAA Marietta Regional, where he took the mound against Penn State Behrend.

Following his time at Wesleyan, DiBenedetto transferred to SUNY Cortland to continue his playing career. Now returning to the program as a coach, he brings valuable experience and a deep understanding of Bishop baseball to the coaching staff.
