Devon Brooks enters his second season as the running backs coach for the Battling Bishops after being a football athlete at Wesleyan. In 2023, Brooks led a solid ipsation group which saw Anthony Byrd earn first-team all-conference honors.

A 2023 alumnus of NCWU, Brooks earned his MBA after obtaining a Bachelors of Science Degree from Barton. A quarterback during his time in Rocky Mount, Brooks appeared in six games and threw for over 500 yards and three touchdowns.
