J'Vonte Hudson enters his third season as the secondary coach for the North Carolina Wesleyan University football program after a successful professional playing career.

During his time with the Battling Bishops, Hudson has helped develop three All-Conference selections and has continued to make an impact on the recruiting trail. He has become recognized as one of the top recruiters in the region after helping bring in strong freshman and transfer classes over the past two recruiting cycles.

Prior to beginning his coaching career, Hudson played professionally after being selected in the fourth round of the 2022 LFA Draft in Mexico. He also competed in the Indoor Football League and Champions Indoor Football, making stops with the San Diego Strike Force and the Southwest Kansas Storm.

Hudson is a 2019 graduate of Southern University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in History. During his collegiate playing career, he competed at defensive back for McNeese State and Kilgore College. He earned an Associate of Arts degree from Kilgore College in 2017.

Hudson brings both playing experience and a strong recruiting background to the North Carolina Wesleyan secondary while continuing to focus on the development of student-athletes on and off the field.
