Kayla Ruffin is entering her third season as assistant coach with the North Carolina Wesleyan volleyball program. She joined the Battling Bishops after working the past five years as the head volleyball coach at South Central HS.

Ruffin has also worked at the Ayden Parks and Recreation as a Volleyball referee and Camp Coordinator for the past three years.

Prior to those positions, Ruffin was also the East Carolina Junior Volleyball Club Head Coach and Facility manager for the past 8 years. She was also a tournament director while there.

A native of Greenville, NC, Ruffin played two years at Pitt CC and earned her Associates Degree in Science in 2015 while also earning her Bachelor of Science Degree in Sports Studies with a minor in Parks and Rec from ECU in 2021.

She is also CPR, AED, and  FIRST AID certified.
