Virginia Beach, VA - The N.C. Wesleyan men's soccer program traveled to Regent on Wednesday night and crushed the Royals 5-0 in the last non-conference affair of the season. Wesleyan's five goals was the second most goals scored of the season, the most coming in a 6-0 win against Brevard. The Battling Bishop's sixteen shots on goal were the most of the year along with the incredible twenty-one total shots.
Bastien Dechamps would get a near hat-trick scoring two goals less than ten minutes apart in the first half.
Tiago Feler would also have an outstanding night on the pitch getting the games opening goal in the 25th minute and later assisting on Dechamps second goal.
Game Notes:
- Justo Esponda and Osei Darko would both get goals in the final ten minutes of the contest, with Adrian Pelloni getting an assist.
- The 5-0 victory is an outstanding confidence boost with one final regular season game left, followed by the USA South playoffs.
