Rocky Mount, NC - The N.C. Wesleyan women's soccer program fell 3-1 at Scalf Field to Salem on Wednesday. In the 34th minute,
Samantha Dell would score her fifth goal of the year on a penalty to get the Battling Bishops a hot start. While Salem would follow up with three goals to clinch the victory, Wesleyan outshot the Spirits 22-8 and attempted seventeen shots on goal. While Salem's sixteen fantastic saves to hold the Bishops to a single goal, Wesleyan had lots of good opportunities off of the seven corner kicks.
Women's soccer falls to 3-12 on the season and 1-7 in USA South play with one game remaining on the schedule.
