Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women's Soccer Drops Conference Contest to Meredith

Raleigh, NC - The N.C. Wesleyan women's soccer program fell 2-0 in a road contest to Meredith on Tuesday night. On the stat sheet, the Battling Bishops outshot Meredith 13-10, and had plenty of opportunism with four corner kicks during the game. Wesleyan would not surrender a goal in the second half, but two early goals by Rachel Ward and Madeline Ostrowski would be too much to overcome for the Battling Bishops.

Game Notes:
  • Eden Whiteside and Samantha Dell would combine for four of the five shots on goal for the Battling Bishops. Both would each see over 80 minutes of action on the pitch against the Angels
  • Goalie Anna Yeakey would surrender two first half goals and record one save. Wesleyan would change goalies at half and Olivia Dyjewski would not surrender a goal on one save during the second period.

Up Next:
  • The Falcons from Pfeiffer make the trip to Rocky Mount on Saturday as the Lady Bishops look to win their first conference contest at 2:00.
