Rocky Mount, NC - In the Jean Edge Classic finale, the N.C. Wesleyan women's basketball faced a tough matchup against nationally ranked  Emory and unfortunately fell short. Despite the loss, standout performances were seen from Kayrsima Harrison with eleven points and seven rebounds, along with Areina Harris contributing ten points and three boards.

Noteworthy defensive efforts were led by Harmony Martin, who secured five of the team's nine steals and dished out three assists. The team demonstrated resilience, forcing 16 turnovers and converting them into ten crucial points. The defensive effort has continued to be staple of the season, as over the course of two days, Coach Trader's squad has forced 44 turnovers in transition.
