Rocky Mount, NC - The N.C. Wesleyan women's basketball team fell to Averett in its first game in the 9th annual Jean Edge Classic. Defense was the name of the game for the Battling Bishops as Wesleyan forced 28 Cougar turnovers and converted them into 21 fast break points. 

The defense also was able to hold Averett to a remarkable three points the entire second quarter, and followed that up with only allowing nine out of the break in the third on 37% from the field. 

On the offensive side of the equation, Kayrisma Harrison would have another sixteen point game and grabbed eight of the team's 38 rebounds for the contest. Johnny Goddard would also have an impressive game scoring eight points on 4-7 from the field while grabbing down eight boards of her own.
