Forward Justin Burden would have one of his best outings of the year, getting in double figures and bringing down eight boards.

The Basics:

Score:
North Carolina Wesleyan 67, Lehman 77
Location/Venue: Brooklyn, New York / The APEX
Records: North Carolina Wesleyan (4-4, 0-0 USA South), Lehman (4-5, 1-0 CUNYAC)

In the defeat, the Battling Bishops had one of the most balanced stat lines for the season, with 30 bench points in a tightly contested game which saw eight ties and nine lead changes. Shooting nearly 40% for the game, Wesleyan was not able to knock down enough threes or get enough opportunities at the line to close out the contest at the end. Freshman Markquan Gilbert had an outstanding game and played with a lot of fire late in the game scoring eight points and coming down with sx rebounds against a very hard nosed NYC basketball team.

Up Next:

The Battling Bishops will regroup and return to Everett Gymnasium on Saturday, December 16th as MACU is welcomed back to town for a 2:00 tip-off.
