Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men's Soccer Earns Gritty Win over Bethany

Rocky Mount, NC - In a game where the Bishops had to overcome an early 1-0 deficit, the men's soccer program would come back and rally for three straight goals and an impressive win over Bethany from West Virginia.

The program's home opener also featured Alumni Day as former Wesleyan Head Coach Frankie Taal made his return to Rocky Mount to face the Bishops. Trailing 1-0 at the break, Wesleyan would score all three goals in the second half starting with Orri Bjornsson in the 53rd minute for his first goal of the year.

Bastien Dechamps and Tiago Feler would put the dagger in the Bison with clutch goals in the 73rd and 79th minute to put the Bishops on top.

The 1-0-2 Battling Bishops will be right back in action on Sunday at Scalf Field where they will face Guilford in the second non-conference game of the weekend.
