Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women's Soccer Loses 3-1 at Guilford

Greensboro, NC – The N.C. Wesleyan women's soccer team fell 3-1 on the road to Guilford on Saturday afternoon. Not able to overcome two first half goals by the Quakers, the Battling Bishops were able to play an extremely completive second half to keep the game close. In the second half Anna Yeakey came up with four big saves and Wesleyan had four quality looks on goal.

Game Notes:

  •          The Battling Bishops lone goal came from Samantha Dell, who also scored the team's first goal of the season nearly a week ago against Eastern Mennonite.
  •          Caitlyn Butler would be the only Bishop to have two shots in 59 minutes played.
  •           Anna Yeakey would have a season high of four saves against the Quakers on Saturday, continuing to be a solid force in goal for Wesleyan.

Up Next: Wesleyan will return home on Wednesday afternoon to take on Randolph College in non-conference action beginning at 3:00 at Scalf Field.
