Rocky Mount, NC - The N.C. Wesleyan volleyball team fell at home to Salem College on Saturday 0-3, and 1-3. Wesleyan played one of the most competitive matches all season by forcing the third set in the first match into a tie breaker, then followed that up by winning a set in the second match. The Battling Bishop's would also come up with more digs than the Spirits with a 44-43 advantage, which is a big improvement from previous games.
Game Notes:
- Sloan Martin would dominate the stat sheet for Wesleyan, leading the team in kills and assists, while continuing to be a force to be reckoned with in the Battling Bishop lineup.
- Aajah Vasquez would have a season high of five blocks, which were key in a competitive third set.
- Fiona Egan would have an unbelievable 18 kills in the second match, and completely dominated the Spirits in the 28-26 set one win.
