Buena Vista, VA - The N.C. Wesleyan men's basketball team scrapped its way to a huge road win in OT to sweep the season series over Southern Virginia. The Battling Bishops were led by
Marquis Eskew and
Justin Burden who both contributed over twenty points including Burden's big free throws late to send the game into OT.

Getting it done at the charity stripe, Wesleyan knocked down a total of twenty free throws from the second half onward, shooting an outstanding 80% from the line. Burden not only was clutch late, he went on to have seven rebounds to his name while making three buckets from behind the arc from the forward position.Â
Guard play was outstanding on Saturday for the Battling Bishops with
Omari Bolden and
Jackson Thompson combining for eighteen points in the affair, with Thompson draining a season high of two threes.
