Wesleyan women's basketball team suffered a tough 74-67 loss against Southern Virginia on Saturday, marking their first conference defeat of the season. Despite multiple second-half runs, the Battling Bishops narrowly missed seizing the lead down the stretch.

In a crucial fourth quarter, Wesleyan shot an impressive 41% and displayed exceptional accuracy from the charity stripe, going 11-12 to keep the game fiercely competitive. Though the outcome wasn't a victory, the Battling Bishops exhibited resilience and fight late in second half, which will serve the team tremendously well as conference action continues.
