Rocky Mount, N.C. - The N.C. Wesleyan women's basketball team cruised past Meredith 93-43 on Tuesday afternoon. The Battling Bishops shot a season high 71% in the first quarter and were led by
Areina Harris who had a career high of 24 points. Harris also knocked down five triples, which is also a career high. Guard
Nadia Simmons also had an impressive afternoon with 19 points, eight assist and seven rebounds,

In one of the most dominant defensive performances of the season holding Meredith to only 23% from the field and forced an incredible 26 Angel turnovers. The Battling Bishops stifling defense also held Meredith to single digits in the 4th quarter, as the Angels did not score more than thirteen points in a quarter. Combined with the Battling Bishops' ten triples, it was the best performance of the season. Freshman
Harmony Martin would also see herself in double digits for the Battling Bishops with 14 points on 4-8 from behind the arc.
On the boards, Wesleyan grabbed down 44 rebounds with
Deonna Adams and
Nadia Simmons leading the way with seven a piece.
