Winston-Salem, NC - The N.C. Wesleyan volleyball team faced tough competition on Saturday in a tri-match held in Winston-Salem, suffering two losses to Salem and Carolina University.
In the first match against Salem, the Bishops were swept 3-0 despite strong play at the net. Aajah Vasquez contributed to three of the team's four blocks, continuing her fabulous year on the front row. Super Senior Sloan Martin led the offense with twenty assists, while Kayla Simmons topped the team in kills with seven.

In their second match of the day, Wesleyan showed resilience, battling hard to force a fourth set before ultimately falling 3-1 to Carolina University. Showing tremendous improvement throughout, Sloan Martin achieved a double-double, contributing ten kills and seventeen assists. Vasquez continued her stellar play with four blocks, while libero Jadyn Smith reached double digits in digs, finishing with eleven.
